We are recruiting for 2x skilled Grounds Person’s to support the Park Manager and Foreman in providing an outstanding service; creating a well maintained and safe environment for our customers, ensuring the Park grounds, facilities, buildings and equipment are well maintained on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience of working on a holiday park and understand the impact of beautiful surroundings and customer service on our guests; our vision is ‘to make every day feel like a holiday’.
Role: Grounds Person
Location: Newton Hall Holiday Park, FY3 0AX
Hours: 40 hours per week.
Salary: £12.25 per hour
Shift pattern: To be discussed but must be able work weekends.
Role overview
- Assist with the movement of caravans, siting, levelling and plumbing into main services, testing and final inspection of same before the caravan is handed over to the purchaser.
- Ensure the repair and general upkeep of the roads and assist with re-tarmacking (Spring and Autumn)
- Undertake the pruning trees, strimming when necessary and trimming grassed areas
- Undertake as required the delivery of gas cylinders to caravans on the Park
- Conduct daily checks on caravans, pump houses and the swimming pool.
- Develop, prepare, repair and landscape including car parks, patios, pathways, concrete bases and groundworks.
- Maintain buildings, machinery, equipment and vehicles, drains, including daily and routine maintenance and minor repairs

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a ground’s person, particularly in the moving siting and levelling of caravans though training will be provided.
- Able to produce right to work documentation (e.g. passport or birth certificate & NI document)
- Able to produce valid (preferably clean) driving licence
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and guests effectively.
